I'd go for one of those:

- Battle isle game area: You have to pay Balthazar faction to enter the game every time you want to play. You can only enter games you have entered during the event.
- New Realm of the gods (Dwayna or Lyssa), you have to pay 1k, and can go there and play the games for an hour.

Snowball fight is supposed to be the Wintersday version of random arenas, just you can't pick your builds really. Rollerbeetle racing is more for a year-round thing in my opinion. I don't really like the snowball fights anyway because I'm always on the losing team.

no...its a special event for the holiday season and if it was made permanent it would lose popularity and get taken over by title farmers

It's just a holiday event. That's why it's so special. You wouldn't look forward to it if you had year-round access, would you?

/notsigned, I don't want something that fun to lose its magic.

so is their any chance arenanet can leave the snowball arena here for keeps so we can enjoy it whenever we want even after the holidays?

lets face it really ...

the concept about minigame events coupled with the gamer title sucks...as long you can gain only points on these dumb events..which run only every x months a year ...

this makes this title IMPOSSIBLE to max....not to mention that the points needed to reach the ranks are simple too high for this kind of concept and playing the games rewards in this way simple too less points...

The Gamer Titles..even when its an Account Title splits the community into 2 Groups ....

The Nay Sayers...which disagree to everything suggested about the gamer Title...because they want to have these stupid minigames to be something "special"..which they aren't...they are not special..only because you can play them only in certain events..that makes them not special....
They would be special.. if you could win by them items..which are only related to them..which you can gain only by them...
that you can gain gamer points only by them and only at these event days makes the whole thign only annoying for the 2nd Faction

The faction..which wants a change..which plays all thing borign shit only for the hope..to maybe max someday this 1 title..which in an other way absolutely don't interests the event at all and are only on on these event days..because it means a chance to receive new gamer points..the rest is absolutely non interestign for this faction of players....

what means that ? that there has to be find a solution, hwich makes both sides happy ....

when the pro event side wants to have "special" minigames..which should be only playable on those events..fine ..but than don't combine such a shit with a title...because this combine slows down way to much the gamer title...

then should anet create better other minigames, which should be permaplayable for the ones, which want to max the gamer title and don#t interest at all in those "special" events... btw give other existing minigames just gamer point rewards ..

like polymock ...make it also pvp playable finally and the winner in a pvp polymock gains gamer points..so simple ....3 issues solved in 1 change!!!

As long the thing about the gamer title stays so, as it is in the moment..it takes a ridiculous amount of time. to get this title maxed....not to meantion years...when you have to wait ever x months..until you receive the chance to gain some new points.then you have to wait again months ... thats absolutely bad concepted...

the guy who has concepted this shit has to be fired really
This is really such a kind of title, which abuses the fact of people becoming maybe online addicted to games like GW...with concepts that have bad concepted long term motivations, which are only tarned ways to bring people into online addiction..when they ever want to reach something in the game they want to have...because when you want the gamer title have maxed. as it is now..then the game forces you to mutate into an online addicted hardcore powergamer...which has to play whenever such an event is running with these minigames for gamer pointsa..to play 24/7 round the clock.to use your chance to receive as much as mayne gamer points as possible.as long the event is running..beforte you have to wait again for months..before you can collect further gamer points ...

/notsigned for Snowball Fighting

but

/signed for Rollerbeetle racing. That would just work and allow people to get their Gamer title track a little easier.

So a festival has a feature we like
Then we ask for it to be made permanent
Then we say the festival is boring can we have more features
Then we ask for that feature to be permanent
then
Well you get the point

Many people say "this is boring anyway" and don't realize that this arena is a GREAT lesson in playing gw pvp. Teaches you how to kite, how to snare, how to teamwork.. basically it teaches you that there are more things in pvp beside c+space. Same thing goes with the dragon festival one with the lightning orbs I forgot the name, those are very good games.
Well, but the snowball thing with the wintersday gifts and etc should be unique for the event. Therefore, /notsigned. BUT, I would really like anet to make a similar arena, where you are given a bunch of set skills (mainly utilty skills) and fight with them. Will teach people how to play.

Actually it doesn't teach you anything unless you already knew about them. Bad players don't realize that when you slow an enemy down *gasp* it takes them longer to run the present! Bad players don't know how to kite snowballs. They won't lose to it one match and then suddenly understand what to do, they will just lose, go in again, and not learn anything because they aren't taking it serious. They take the stance of "its an event stop being serious you losers" you won't get better without being serious about getting better. If you really learn so much why are people still bad in the later days of the event?

Snowball arena is basically, Dwayana Wins.

I'm so sick of it already, and I DO NOT want to have it around all year.
